COURT-MARTIAL ON A RACEHORSE. .
SHOT FOR DF;ALTNOS WITH OLD REGIME. PARIS, July 12.— According to Paris Sport several very valuable bloodstock horses have been rescued from the Bolsheviks. Tlie animals were removed by the British authorities after General Denikin's defeat, and. are now at Constantinople, where they are being held as security against Russia's debt to Great Britain..
The rescued horses ' include Aboyeur, tfhich won the Derby m 1913. , A son of Sunstar was m Russia at the time of the Bolshevik outbreak, and, having learned that this horse won a cup offered by the late Czar, the Bolsheviks had the horse tried by court-martial and shot it, after 'sentencing the horse to death for "having had dealings with the old regime." This remarkable example of Bolshevist justice recalls a case which" occurred near Liskj, m South Russ'a, m 1919. A woman laid a complaint against a cow for having eaten some washing which she had hung out to. dry. The trial lasted for several days, but before sentence could be passed General Denikin's troops carried the village and the cdurt adjourned m a hurry.
